Dog & Cat Registrations Now Due

Friendly reminder that ALL Dog and Cat registrations/renewals are due by 31 August 2020.

Renewals were sent in early July via SMS, Email or post depending on what you have chosen to be your preferred methods of contact in Dogs and Cats Online (DACO)

To avoid further penalties, please complete your pet's registration renewal by the due date 31 August 2020, by logging on to DACO.

At the end of July 776 out of 2023 animals were registered;

  • Cats - 162 registrations renewed and 7 new registrations
  • Dogs - 582 registrations renewed and 26 new registrations

Registration Information

All dogs and cats over the age of 3 months must be microchipped, visit www.dogandcatboard.com.au/microchipping

You can update your information in DACO at any time, this includes new registration, transfers and any desexing and microchipping information.

You may order and pay online for a replacement tag ($10) or engrave the lifetime number and other details on a  more permanent tag of your own choice.

Any dog or cat born after 1 July 2018 must be desexed, visit www.dogandcatboard.com.au/new-laws-desexing

Exemptions for microchipping or desexing need to be in writing by your vet and be approved by the Dog and Cat Management Board, visit www.dogandcatboard.com.au/exemptions

If you are a breeder - microchip implanters may enter the microchip number in DACO in the breeder's name. Please ensure you transfer the microchip registration to the new owner at the point of sale, visit www.dogandcatboard.com.au/breeders-sellers-and-petshops
