From 1 July 2019, SA Water assumed ownership, management and operation of the CWMS network servicing the District Council of Yankalilla region and the drinking water supply network in Wirrina.
For those property owners with a septic system, Veolia Environmental Services will continue to carry out the de-sludging of your septic tank.
As part of SA Water’s service, all septic tanks connected to each scheme need to be de-sludged by a contractor every 4 years.
The cost of this service is met by the sewerage charge levied on the capital value of your property.
This periodic de-sludging is essential to prevent drainage lines and pumping equipment from becoming blocked or damaged
