Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel
Section 98 of the Local Government Act 1999 sets out appointment procedures for a Chief Executive Officer. This includes the establishment of a Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel and engagement of a qualified independent person.
At its meeting of 15 March 2022, Council resolved to establish a Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel and adopted a Terms of Reference and Timeline for the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for District Council of Yankalilla.
Membership of the Chief Executive Officer Selection Panel includes;
- Mayor Simon Rothwell (Chair)
- Ms Christine Hahn (Independent Member)
- Cr. David Olsson
- Cr. Leon Zarins
The Panel will also appoint a suitably qualified Independent Human Resource Consultant to assist them throughout the process.
The Executive and Governance Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the Panel.
The Action Plan requires consistent engagement with Council to make decisions at various steps during the process.
