July 2024
Welcome to this month's edition of Depot News! We are thrilled to highlight the exceptional work our dedicated Depot Staff carried out across the district. Their efforts ensure our community remains safe, accessible and beautiful. Here are some of the projects they've been working on:
Carrickalinga North Bay Entrance and Pathway
Our Urban Services Team has constructed a new entrance and pathway to Carrickalinga North Bay, making access safe and accessible for all users. This improvement ensures that everyone can enjoy the bay's beauty.
Library/Cultural Centre Precinct
We've been busy preparing the earthworks for a new paved path between the Library and the new Community Garden and adding an abundance of new plantings adjacent to the car park and along the library frontage. We've also completed the installation of a new post-and-rail fence between the car park and the entrance to the Library/Cultural Centre. This fence will serve as a crucial pedestrian safety and containment barrier, mitigating the risk of incidents, such as a young child inadvertently running out of the Library and towards the Skate Bowl.
Scenic Way Planting
We've completed landscape works at the end of Scenic Way, adjacent to Gold Coast Drive in Carrickalinga. This marks the completion of the Scenic Way Road and drainage upgrade project.
Our Depot Staff's hard work and dedication continue to make our district a wonderful place to live, work, and visit. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to sharing more of their achievements in the coming months. Thank you for supporting their work and stay tuned for more updates in the next edition of Depot News!
