Positive Ageing Taskforce

Positive Ageing Taskforce

The Southern Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island Positive Ageing Taskforce is a collaborative inter-agency network that operates across Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor, and Yankalilla Council areas, with network links extending to Kangaroo Island. The Taskforce works with services that support frail older people and their carers to facilitate service reform and improve service cooperation and coordination at the regional level.

The work undertaken by the Taskforce aims to result in improved quality of life outcomes for older people. Taskforce stakeholders represent diverse sectors including community care, residential services, workforce development and various levels of government. The Taskforce is currently funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Program and local Councils and is one of twelve collaborative projects operating in metropolitan and regional South Australia.

Taskforce membership is open to anyone working or volunteering within the aged care sector, as well as community members with an interest in the wellbeing of older people.
