2026-27 Community Grants now open
Local community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations can now apply for funding through the District Council of Yankalilla’s 2026-27 Community Grants Program.
A total of $7,500 is available, with individual projects eligible for funding of up to $1,500.
Grants are available for projects that:
- strengthen community connections
- enhance health and well-being
- encourage participation in social, cultural or recreational activities
- respond to local needs and priorities.
Applications are open from 17 August to 30 September 2026.
Eligible organisations are encouraged to review the program eligibility criteria, application requirements and key dates before applying.
Key dates
- 17 August 2026 – applications open
- 30 September 2026 – applications close
- October 2026 – Assessment Panel reviews applications and makes recommendations
- November 2026 – recommendations presented to Council
- December 2026 – successful and unsuccessful applicants notified
- January 2027 – certificates presented at the Australia Day ceremony
- 30 September 2027 – acquittals due
