Have your say on Council’s Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026–30
The District Council of Yankalilla is updating its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for 2026–30 and is inviting the community to provide feedback.
The DAIP guides how Council works to remove barriers and improve the way all people of all abilities engage with our services, facilities, programs and decision-making. Community input is essential to ensure the Plan reflects local experiences and supports inclusion across the district.
Council is seeking feedback from the community, particularly people who:
- live with disability
- care for someone with disability
- work as a support worker, or
- are part of an organisation that supports people with disability to live well.
Your feedback will help Council understand what is working well, what could be improved and what would make everyday interactions with Council more accessible and inclusive.
How to participate
There are several ways to get involved:
- Read the draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026–30 and leave a comment or ask a question via Your Say Yankalilla

Why your input matters
Community feedback will directly inform the final DAIP and guide Council’s work in improving access and inclusion through to 2030. By sharing your experiences and ideas, you can help shape a Plan that better supports people of all abilities to connect with Council and participate fully in community life.
Consultation closes Friday 27 February 2026.
After consultation, feedback will be reviewed and considered and any adjustments made to the draft DAIP 2026-230, keeping focused on achievable actions and outcomes. The final draft will be presented to Council for final endorsement by April 2026.
