Changed Traffic Conditions for Great Southern Football League Preliminary Final
The Yankalilla Football Club will host the Great Southern Football League Preliminary Final at Memorial Park, Yankalilla, on Saturday 12 September 2026.
While unfortunately no Yankalilla Football Club teams progressed to the finals this season, the district will still be proudly represented, with Myponga Sellicks Football Club competing in the Reserves, Senior Colts and Junior Colts matches.
The event is expected to attract a large number of players, officials and spectators to Yankalilla throughout the day.
To help manage the increased traffic and ensure the safety of residents, visitors and event attendees, temporary traffic management measures will be in place on Main South Road through Yankalilla.
What traffic changes will be in place?
Temporary traffic conditions will apply from 8:30 am to approximately 5:30 pm on Saturday 12 September.
Changes include:
- Temporary parking restrictions along sections of the main street.
- A slip lane to assist with traffic flow.
- No right turn onto South Road when leaving the Memorial Park.
Parking restrictions will be in place from early morning to allow for the safe setup of traffic controls before the first matches begin.
Plan ahead
Motorists travelling through Yankalilla on Saturday are encouraged to:
- Allow extra travel time.
- Follow all signage and directions from traffic management staff.
- Take care when travelling through the township.
