Cape Jervis boat ramp closure – updated dates
Please note the dates for the Cape Jervis boat ramp closure have changed.
We have been advised by SeaLink that the Cape Jervis boat ramp will now be closed to all users from Monday 12 October to Friday 30 October 2026 (inclusive).
The closure is required to allow SeaLink to complete the final stage of the Cape Jervis Ferry Terminal upgrade and ensure the safety of construction workers and harbour users while barges, workboats and other support vessels are operating in the harbour.
Kangaroo Island ferry service suspension
The Kangaroo Island ferry service is now planned to be suspended from Tuesday 20 October to Thursday 22 October 2026 (inclusive) while the new ferry ramp and turning dolphin are installed.
For more information about the Kangaroo Island Ferry Service, including frequently asked questions about the transition, visit SeaLink – Kangaroo Island Ferry Service.
Alternative boat ramp
To help minimise disruption for the boating community, the Wirrina boat ramp will be available free of charge from 12 to 30 October 2026.
We appreciate the community's understanding and cooperation while these upgrades are completed.
