Traffic Changes in Myponga for the Great Southern Bolt
Myponga and surrounding areas will experience temporary traffic changes this Sunday, 2 March 2025, as Great Southern Runs hosts the Great Southern Bolt—a 12 km downhill running event from Myponga to Aldinga Bay.
Traffic Management Details
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, temporary traffic restrictions will be in place:
- Date: Sunday, 2 March 2025
- Time: 6:00 am - 10:00 am
- Race Route: Starts on Hansen Street, Myponga, and follows Main South Road to Country Road, Sellicks Beach (8:00 am - 10:00 am).
Road Closures and Detours
- Light vehicles will be detoured via Pages Flat Road.
- Heavy vehicles will be managed by traffic controllers for access to South Road.
