Have Your Say on Proposed By-Law No. 8: Miscellaneous Amendments
The District Council of Yankalilla is inviting community feedback on a proposed new By-Law – By-Law No. 8: Miscellaneous Amendments.
This new By-Law provides a streamlined process for making minor corrections or amendments to existing Council By-Laws without triggering a full review of the original By-Law. It has been developed in response to recent advice from the Legislative Review Committee regarding By-Law No. 7: Cats, which was reviewed in 2023 and consulted on and considered by Council in 2024.
Following formal feedback from the Committee in December 2024, Council was advised that instead of restarting the full review of By-Law No. 7, a more efficient approach would be to introduce a separate By-Law that enables small but important amendments, such as clarifying wording, to be made more effectively in future.
We Want to Hear From You
Community input is an essential part of this process. We encourage all interested residents, stakeholders and community members to review the draft By-Law and share their feedback.
Submissions close Friday, 25 July 2025.
