ANZAC Day Dawn Services Across the Fleurieu Coast
Friday, 25 April 2025
On ANZAC Day, we pause to reflect on the bravery, service and sacrifice of those who served - and continue to serve - our nation in times of war, conflict and peacekeeping.
We invite the community to attend one of the dawn services being held across the district.
Inman Valley
Inman Valley Memorial Hall at 6.15am.
The Inman Valley Community Memorial Hall Committee welcomes all to a dawn service at the Memorial Hall. A Gunfire Breakfast will follow, offering bacon and egg rolls, bacon sandwiches, and tea or coffee (with or without rum) for a gold coin donation.
Myponga
Myponga Memorial Community Centre – Memorial Wall at 6.00am sharp.
Attendees are asked to enter via the Bowling Club Gate on Stephens Road. Following the service, breakfast will be served at the Myponga Hall ($5), including a sausage sizzle, pancakes and tea/coffee. All proceeds will support the Myponga Progress Association.
Second Valley
WWI Memorial, Finniss Vale Drive (next to the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall) at 6.15am.
Ceremony conducted by Brian Thorpe and Fr Peter Randle. After the service, enjoy breakfast and tea/coffee in the hall - sponsored by the Second Valley Progress Association. All are welcome. For further details, contact Jane Olsson on 0422 009 482.
Yankalilla
Yankalilla Memorial Park, 104 Main South Rd at 6.30am.
The RSL, with support from community volunteers, will host a dawn service at the Memorial Park. A Gunfire Breakfast will be held at the Yankalilla Football Club - within walking distance of the park. Poppies made by residents of the Yankalilla Centre Eden-Field will be available for a donation.
To lay a wreath, please contact Dawn Service Coordinator Darren Jones on 0420 909 594 or via email at tania.jones@iinet.net.au.
