Community Information Sessions: Main South Road Overtaking Lanes (Myponga to Cape Jervis)
The Australian and South Australian Governments have jointly committed $31.8 million to improve road safety on Main South Road between Myponga and Cape Jervis. As part of this project, three new overtaking lanes will be installed to enhance traffic flow and safety for all road users.
The confirmed locations for the new overtaking lanes are:
- Northbound between Second Valley and Normanville
- Southbound between Delamere and Second Valley
- Northbound between Cape Jervis and Delamere
Designs for these overtaking lanes are now progressing, and the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) is inviting the local community to attend one of the upcoming drop-in information sessions. This is an opportunity for residents and road users to learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide feedback directly to the project team.
