Congratulations to Tim Jarvis AM who has been named Australian of the Year for South Australia.
Tim Jarvis AM is an environmental scientist, author, filmmaker, adventurer and public speaker. He is committed to finding pragmatic solutions to major environmental issues related to climate change and biodiversity loss.
Tim Jarvis leads the remarkable Forktree Project, restoring a 133-acre pastoral property in Carrickalinga back to nature. This involves planting tens of thousands of native trees, shrubs and grasses to provide a valuable habitat to native flora and fauna.
We recently had the privilege of hearing Tim Jarvis speak at the Sustainable Living Expo where he highlighted the importance and methods of regenerative farming and discussed various aspects of sustainable agriculture, such as soil health, biodiversity and the restoration of ecosystems.
