Library Updates: Tax Help, Legal Advice and New Software
Tax Help Support:
Are you in need of assistance with your taxes? The Yankalilla Library is here to help! We are offering free tax help support sessions with community volunteers who are trained and accredited by the ATO (Australian Taxation Office). These one-hour sessions are available to individuals who have simple tax affairs and are on low incomes ($60,000 or less).
You can book your tax help session on Wednesdays at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, or 1pm, starting from July 26 and running until October 25, 2023. To find out more about eligibility and to secure your place, please contact the library at (08) 8558 2043 or email us at library@yankalilla.sa.gov.au.
Free Legal Advice:
In partnership with the Southern Community Justice Centre, we are pleased to offer free legal advice appointments with a solicitor at the Yankalilla Library. Whether you have questions about family, civil, or criminal law, our qualified solicitor is here to help. Appointments are available on alternate Fridays from 10am to 1pm.
Bookings are essential and you can reserve your appointment by calling 1300 850 650. If you prefer a phone appointment, that option is also available. For more information, please visit www.communityjustice.org.au.
New Software for Creatives:
Attention all graphic design, animation and video editing enthusiasts! We are thrilled to announce that the Yankalilla Library now has Adobe Creative Cloud installed on one of our bookable public computers. This powerful software is available for free use, giving you the opportunity to explore and create using professional-grade tools.
To access the computer with Adobe Creative Cloud, you can pre-book it at the Yankalilla Library or contact us at (08) 8558 2043. But that's not all! We also provide free online access to Linked In Learning (formerly known as Lynda Library), which offers thousands of technology, business and creative skills courses through video tutorials. You can learn at your own pace, from beginner to advanced levels and dive into various areas such as sales, marketing, IT, software, web development, leadership skills, time management and more.
