Tell COTA (Council on the Ageing) SA about your views and experiences using water in regional SA!
The Plug-in is supported by The South Australian Government and the Consumer Advocacy Research Fund to explore the water usage and needs of older, regionally based South Australians. The findings will be used for advocacy so COTA (Council on the Ageing) SA can help inform government policies and services that better meet the needs of older South Australians.
In this first stage, The Plug-in is looking for participants to complete a short online survey, which we will then use to select interview participants.
Selection criteria are as follows:
Aged 50 or above
Able to participate in a 30-45 minute phone or video interview
Living in one of the below regions of South Australia:
- Goolwa and Victor Harbor
- Yankalilla
- Yorke Peninsula
- Peterborough – Mt Remarkable
- Quorn – Lake Gilles
- The Riverland
There are multiple options for completing the survey:

Following this, interested survey participants may be invited to take part in phone or video interviews, so that our researchers can gain a deeper insight into peoples’ experiences. We commenced interviews on 15 Feb 2023 with a view to having all interviews completed by 15 March 2023. Interview participants will be compensated for their time. A state-wide population survey will also be circulated in May.
