Bin Collection Schedule Changes
Starting in July, the District will have a collection truck and driver, Richie, a local resident, based at the Yankalilla FRWA Depot. This change means that collections will now take place over 5 days.
The new schedules will commence on July 1, 2023. Please take note of the following changes:
First week of July - General Waste collected for everyone
Second week of July - Recycling with Green Organics (in eligible townships) collected on the same day
For most residents, please be aware that YOUR COLLECTION DAY WILL ALSO CHANGE as follows:
TUESDAY for Links, Lady Bay, Wirrina Cove, Second Valley and south area of Normanville (off Williss Dr).
WEDNESDAY for Hay Flat Rd, Horizon, Rapid Bay, Cape Jervis, Delamere, Silverton, Deep Creek, Tunkalilla, Parawa
THURSDAY for Main Street Yankalilla and surrounding streets, rural areas North of Inman Valley Road, Bald Hills, Inman Valley
FRIDAY for most of Yankalilla and Normanville
You might be wondering, why the change? These changes aim to improve the community's focus on recycling, reduce driving time and greenhouse emissions, and simplify the collection calendar. As a result, all residents will now follow the same schedule.
New collection calendars will be delivered in the next two weeks. They can also be viewed at www.frwa.com.au
