Thank you to our Volunteers!
On Thursday 15th December Council hosted our annual Volunteer Christmas Lunch at Links Lady Bay, to say thank you to all our amazing Volunteers for 2022.
Our dedicated volunteers support three important services in our community. These programs could not run without them, and it cannot be understated how much the council and the community appreciate all that they do.
The Yankalilla Council Transport Service’s 34 volunteers have travelled 185,644 km in 2022, which equates to 15,470km per month and has 424 active clients.
The Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre’s 25 volunteers serviced 12,000 visitor enquiries and have worked a total 5,408 staff hours this year, equating to 104 hours a week.
Our 8 Library volunteers assisted in what limited programs and services could be managed while the new library is being built. A big thank you to those library volunteers who have waited so patiently to support us again when we reopen in early 2023.
