Fleurieu Coast YAC
On Sunday 20 March as part of the Festival of Nature, 24 participants had an opportunity to take part in a snorkelling event at the beautiful Second Valley beach.
Split into two groups from Beginners to experienced, our participants were treated with perfect conditions to view the wildlife in our ocean.
The sessions were facilitated by qualified instructors at Reclink SA through a partnership with the District Council of Yankalilla and the Youth program. The event was planned after our youth advisory group (YAC) participants identified snorkelling as something they would like to experience for the first time or develop skills or experience at allowing them to more confidently do so unsupported in the future.
Upcoming Events
The YAC group also prioritised surfing as another skill they would like to develop. A surfing event has been planned for April 29th at Middleton with bookings available at Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.com/e/320410244667
Upcoming we also have planned a Creative Mindfulness in Nature workshop, a ‘Phat Rager’ with DJ Hazzman and a basic car maintenance workshop with the RAA.
