Arts and Creativity Grants Program 2023/24
The Arts and Creativity Grants Program is funded by Council:
- To provide small, quick response grants for projects by artists and creatives in the District.
- To encourage a broad range of artistic and creative expression across the District.
- To support increased community wellbeing by participation in the arts.
Projects must align with a key focus of Council’s Strategic Plan.
- youth arts, indigenous culture and art and key events and festivals
- greater activation of arts and exhibitions
- partnering with creative industries
- activating arts, youth and the community centre
- partnering with the community to develop place-making strategies for townships. Initiatives may include more public art, activation of main streets…community connection through projects, events and activities
- celebrating our culture and heritage including indigenous stories, culture and places of significance and the district’s settlement history
