WIRRINA BLUEGRASS & ACOUSTIC ROOTS FESTIVAL

3rd -5th September 2016

Wirrina Cove Holiday Park, Wirrina

The Wirrina Bluegrass Festival is all about acoustic music.

Bluegrass is born of the acoustic tradition.   It features the five string banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, resonator guitar and fiddle and is noted for its lightning-fast picking and vocal harmonies.  The festival will showcase other genres throughout the weekend as well, acknowledging that the roots of Bluegrass go deep- and that it has not lost any of the sense of community that it shares with its Folk and Country origins.
