Wirrina Blue Grass Festival 2017

Wirrina Bluegrass & Acoustic Roots Festival

16th to 18th November 2018

Wirrina Cove Holiday Park, Wirrina Cove

The Wirrina Bluegrass and Acoustic Roots Festival is an annual gathering for people to hear, play and share acoustic music from the Bluegrass, Old Timey and other related traditions.

It’s on again—for the 7th year!  Our fabulous festival will again be hosted at the Wirrina Cove Holiday Park, just 80 minutes South of Adelaide, South Australia, on the first weekend of September.

Bluegrass is great music. That’s why it heads up our festival. Our stage attracts world class musicians; many come back each year to perform, to run workshops, and to join in the fun and inspiration of all that a Wirrina festival is.

2006 New Years Eve Pageant FireworksNORMANVILLE NEW YEARS EVE PAGEANT

31st December 2018
Normanville Foreshore, from 7:30pm

Yankalilla District Community Cultural Arts Network

New Year's Eve 2017 will see the 20th Annual Normanville New Year's Eve Pageant. The pageant consists of a parade of approximately 40 colourful floats leaving Katherine Drive at 7.30pm sharp winding its way through the streets of Normanville ending at the beautiful Normanville foreshore.

Locals and tourists alike flock to the foreshore to be entertained by a DJ, amusements, and fed by the local community clubs and groups. The night's festivities are finalised with a fireworks display at around 9.45pm. The pageant provides a fun, safe family environment for the entire community plus the many visitors staying in the area.

You are invited to be part of the pageant, whether it be just as a visitor or as a participant contact TJ Marks on 0407 174 262 if you have any queries.

The Pageant is a non-profit community organisation run by a very small group of locals, with the District Council of Yankalilla and Yankalilla Foodland providing sponsorship and the remaining funds required to stage the event are raised throughout the year. Look out for the girls in pink collecting for next years Pageant, they will be roaming throughout the parade collecting much needed donations. if you want to help us out with fundraising toss in a few coins or whatever you can afford.

See you there!
