Courses in the District

The District Council of Yankalilla is aware many residents travel to Noarlunga or Victor Harbor to access training courses. 

We have partnered with TAFE to bring courses to our District.

What Courses are Planned?

Office Computing for Beginners – Microsoft Office (Approx $60)

We ran this course late last year and it proved to be quite popular.

It is aimed at beginner computer users, who want to gain computer skills and knowledge including MS Office.

It covers things such as becoming familiar with the Windows environment, using the internet safely, sending and retrieving emails and creating basic documents in Word and Excel.

Prepare to Drive (Approx $134)

This course is suitable for those who require support in obtaining their Learner’s Permit.

They undertake the test at TAFE SA instead of Motor Vehicle Registration to gain the skills and Knowledge needed to obtain a Learner’s Permit quicker and with less stress!

Chainsaw Operation and Maintenance (Approx $320)

Training to prepare, operate and maintain a chainsaw when cross cutting fallen timber.

Low Voltage Rescue and Resuscitation (Approx $140)

This course provides the participants with the skills to manage the danger of accidental electrocution.

At the completion of the course you will be competent to rescue and provide resuscitation to a person who has stopped breathing or is unconscious due to electrical shock.
